during Wednesdays initial appearance in Las Vegas including that he must remain in Clark County under the supervision of his parents Prosecutors said the teen lives in the Chicago areappThe judge also restricted the suspects access to cell phones and electronics and he is prohibited from using the internet unless it is for school purposes or he is accompanied by a parent Prosecutors and defense attorneys said the boy was 15 when the cyberattacks that he is accused of being a part of happenedppProsecutors told reporters after the hearing that they would move to try the 17yearold as an adult Butler said that determination would be made at a November hearingppChief Deputy District Attorney Summer Clarke said during Wednesdays hearing that prosecutors were seeking additional chargesppClarke asked Butler to keep the teen detained until the November hearing on the grounds that the teen is accused of causing millions of dollars in damages Sensitive information including Social Security numbers also was compromised Clarke saidppClarke added the FBI executed search warrants on the suspects Illinois home in December 2023 and February 2025pp18 million worth of bitcoinppAuthorities suspect the teen still has roughly 18 million worth of bitcoin in his possession stemming from the attacks but are unsure of its whereabouts Clarke saidppThe level of sophistication he possesses and
