pDAYTON OhioppSep 12 2025ppThe Reynolds and Reynolds Company today announced that subsidiary Motility Software Solutions a solutions provider for specialty dealerships experienced a data security incident Upon identification of suspicious activity on its network on August 19th Motility took the impacted server offline to isolate the incident investigate the cause and conduct remediation activities
Motility has engaged cybersecurity experts and informed law enforcement authorities about the incident Reynolds systems and network is separate from Motilitys network and was not affected by the incident
Motility customer interruption to the companys software was limited The investigation which is ongoing found that personally identifiable information PII including names birthdate drivers license numbers and social security numbers of approximately 760000 consumers were accessed Motility is notifying impacted consumers and providing support including credit monitoring services
