Websites, internet, phone and computer applications outage for Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) and Prevea Health's websites entered a fourth day on Wednesday.
They have been down since Sunday afternoon, according to the health provider's website at noon Tuesday.
Prevea Health and HSHS also announced Tuesday in a statement that individual HSHS hospital lines and Prevea's main phone line was working with some connectivity issues, and acknowledged the outage was "causing inconvenience for some patients and that services may take longer to schedule or receive."
Here's what we know so far.
What hospitals are experiencing outages?
Hospitals and clinics in the two health systems are affected in a "systemwide outage," according to the Prevea website.
While Prevea Health's website is still live, MyPrevea.com is not. Meanwhile, the websites for all 15 of HSHS's sites — including locations in Green Bay, Sheboygan, Eau Claire, Oconto Falls and Chippewa Falls — are still down.
The clinics are also experiencing outages in their internet and phones and are "working diligently to restore that service and establish alternative communications," social media posts for both hospital systems said.
The two providers have locations in cities across Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Illinois.
What is happening to patients at HSHS and Prevea while the websites are down?
Providers at the hospitals are following "normal downtime procedures" to care for patients according to the Prevea website.
In identical Facebook posts Monday afternoon, Prevea and HSHS said those procedures "work well" and helps them "provide quality health care." They're also keeping regular appointments with visiting patients.
When did the hospital website outages start?
HSHS St. Mary's and Prevea posted identical messages about the outage on their official Facebook page shortly after 2 p.m. Sunday.
When will the Prevea and HSHS phones and websites be fixed?
The hospitals have not released any information on when their websites and their systems applications will be back online. Neither have they released information on what caused the outage. However, on Tuesday, Prevea launched a dedicated webpage for updates on the outage at www.prevea.com/home/updates.
As of Tuesday, Prevea Health's phone line was again available at 920-496-4700.
